Competition Breeches with Shaping Stitches “Impulsion”

“Impulsion” are beige women's competition breeches with the same shaped cut as our white “Confidence”: shaping stitches through hip and thigh, a full-seat silicone grip, a tailored waistband and belt loops. The dense stretch fabric (72% polyester, 28% spandex) stays opaque in the saddle, and beige is as correct as white under a dark show jacket.

Beige is the show ring's other classic: as correct as white under a dark jacket, and kinder over a long competition day. “Impulsion” is the beige edition of our shaped competition breeches — the same cut as the white “Confidence”, with shaping stitches that draw a clean line through hip and thigh, a tailored waistband that sits flat under a show jacket, and belt loops to finish the turnout. The waistband fastens with concealed hooks behind two decorative branded snaps, so the front stays flat and clean.

The fabric is a dense stretch blend — 72% polyester with 28% spandex — that holds its structure rather than clinging, so the breeches stay opaque in the saddle and keep their shape from warm-up to prize-giving. It moves with you, recovers when you dismount and dries quickly between classes.

Full seat silicone grip covers the seat and inner leg, holding the whole contact area steady — the leg stays quiet through transitions and lateral work, which is why the same pair works for a dressage test and a jumping round. Slanted front pockets sit flush, and the back is finished with decorative pocket flaps rather than real pockets, so nothing adds bulk in the saddle or breaks the line. The EQUESTRIAN lettering on the back waistband and the Valerie Equestrian logotype on the thigh are the only branding. Pair with the white “Purity” show shirt and a dark competition show jacket, or with the chocolate “Resonance” turtleneck for training days.

Wash at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle, inside out, and air dry. Do not tumble dry and never iron the silicone grip — heat hardens and cracks it.

Do they have back pockets?

No. The back has decorative pocket flaps, so nothing adds bulk in the saddle. There are two slanted front pockets that sit flush.

How long does delivery take, and will I pay import duties?

Shipping is free on every order. Delivery takes 5–8 business days to the UK, 6–10 to the EU and 8–13 to the USA. US orders ship Delivered Duty Paid. For the EU, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico, import duties and taxes are prepaid, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.

What if the size isn't right?

“Impulsion” comes in sizes XXS–L; XXS is cut with junior riders in mind. There is a size chart in centimetres on this page. If the fit is wrong, you can return the item within 30 days; return postage is paid by the customer.
