What are the crystals on Valerie Equestrian products?

They are premium rhinestone crystals arranged in a decorative crystal trim along the edge of the piece. We call them Crystals across the catalog, and they are securely attached for use in training and competition.

What is a velvet saddle pad?

A velvet saddle pad has a top layer of dense, short-pile velvet instead of the usual cotton or polyester twill. The result is a deeper, more saturated color and a soft matte sheen in the arena. Valerie Equestrian velvet pads pair the velvet top with a soft, breathable cotton underside, in jumping and dressage cuts.

How do I wash a velvet saddle pad?

Gently hand wash in water up to 30°C with a mild detergent, then air dry flat away from direct sunlight. Detailed care instructions accompany each product.

Are velvet saddle pads suitable for competition?

Yes. Our pads are cut to standard jumping and dressage dimensions with a breathable underside. Always check your federation's tack rules for color and decoration requirements in your class.

What size saddle pad do I need?

Our pads come in full size, in jumping and dressage cuts. Measure your saddle from pommel to cantle: the pad should extend 5–8 cm beyond the saddle at front and back. Exact pad dimensions are listed on each product page.

How do I find my size in rider apparel?
